whats in your pantsOkay, I think this is by far the most weird, most outrageous title I have come out with so far here on my blog…truth is, I have been thinking on this subject for two days now, and I wanted to share with you some thoughts that I’ve had lurking within my mind.

We live in a society where we are constantly pressured into thinking that we should always be the best we can be, constantly being top notch, perfectly groomed, wearing the best clothes we can afford, coated with the perfect makeup to hide our natural ‘flaws’.

Same goes with ‘what’s in your pants’. There are men who consider themselves ‘men’ by what is hidden ‘down there’, as if that is the only thing that makes them macho enough to attract those around them. Similarly, there are women who consider themselves ‘women’ by their chest perfection, or the way they are able to seduce those around them.

While there is nothing wrong with being physically attractive, the physical  is not all. Unfortunately, due to certain expectations that society and mostly the media has instilled in us, we tend to rate our own potentiality on this outside physical stuff.

What’s in your pants doesn’t determine how ‘good’ you are or how irresistible you are.

Take for example a man who feels all macho, feels that he is a ‘babe magnet’. Society may uplift him to look like a male role model. Yet what goes on behind closed doors may be far from exemplary, maybe he is constantly degrading the one who he had promised to care for, to love and to cherish. Maybe he feels so powerful that he makes this person feel like rubbish, and through his behaviour she gets to feel helpless, no energy to get back up from the ‘dirt’ she feels she is buried in.

Similarly, take a woman who society has also uplifted into how a woman should be. She may be amazing from the outside, yet it could be she feels like everyone should bow down to her, to act on her commands, who uses her beauty and body to get whatever she wants.

The message I would like to convey with this blogpost today is this…

You, reading this, if you find yourself troubled by society’s expectations, relax. It is not the physical that is important. The physical changes and won’t last forever. Focus on what is in your heart. Be love. Respect everyone around you. Be helpful to those who need it. Be responsible and take responsibility for your actions. Follow your passions no matter what others around you may think or accuse you of. Do what you feel is right. Act with love. Be honest and genuine in everything you do.

Remember that whatever you send out you get back. Open your eyes to your surroundings and the people you are constantly attracting into your life. If you find yourself attracting people who feel artificial, then there must be something within you that is also artificial. Similarly, if you act dishonestly, you shouldn’t complain about attracting dishonest people in your life, for it is what you give out that you attract. Your life, your circumstances, and the people you get to meet are in a way a reflection of what you are giving out, a reflection of who you are.

Remember that once you make a decision to be true to who you truly are, the Universe will start to reflect that back to you. Determine what you want to attract in your life, be a reflection of what you want to attract, be open to receive it, and keep a positive mindset no matter what happens to come into your life.

These times that we are living in are times of drastic changes. Collectively we are all one, and the world is currently experiencing deep changes. Many of us are experiencing new callings, new urges to make a difference in this world. The best way to do this on an individual basis is to start being observers of what is going on around us, and it starts from observing ourselves first. That is when we can start work towards bringing out the best version of ourselves into this world, which in return will bring about drastic positive changes all around the world, not just for us, but for our future generations.

What better song to end this blogpost with, than Britt Nicole’s Gold…enjoy!

BRITT NICOLE LYRICS

“Gold”

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, ohYou were walking on the moon, now you’re feeling low
What they said wasn’t true, you’re beautiful
Sticks and stones break your bones, I know what you’re feeling
Words like those won’t steal your glow, you’re one in a millionThis, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
Whatever you’ve been told, you’re worth more than gold
So hold your head up high, it’s your time to shine
From the inside out it shows, you’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)
You’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)Well everybody keeps score, afraid you’re gonna lose
Just ignore they don’t know the real you
All the rain in the sky can’t put out your fire
Of all the stars out tonight, you shine brighter

This, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
Whatever you’ve been told, you’re worth more than gold
So hold your head up high, it’s your time to shine
From the inside out it shows, you’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)
You’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)

So don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not loved
And don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not enough
Yeah there are days that we all feel like we’re messed up
But the truth is that we’re all diamonds in the rough
So don’t be ashamed to wear your crown
You’re a king you’re a queen inside and out
You glow like the moon, you shine like the stars
This is for you, wherever you are

Oh, oh, yeah, yeah, oh, oh,
You’re gold

This, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
Whatever you’ve been told, you’re worth more than gold
(So hold your head) So hold your head up high,
It’s your time to shine
From the inside out it shows, you’re worth more than gold
(gold gold, you’re gold)
You’re worth more than gold
(gold gold you’re gold)

So don’t be ashamed to wear your crown
You’re a king you’re a queen inside and out
