nobody is born racistAs I was sitting down in the comfort of my own home browsing Facebook, I came across this image of three children hugging…two black and one white. Then it hit me.

Black…

White…

Labels.

Why do we have to label everything we see? Why can’t we just accept each other as we are? We are all human, we all have a heart, we all have a soul.

Sometimes we tend to point our fingers at those who discriminate others based on colour, religion, sexual orientation, culture…when if we look within, we may be discriminating without even realising it.

I never saw black people as inferior or different than me. In fact I always make it a point to have a smile on my face ready for every single person, child and animal that I come across with every single day with the aim to spread love and happiness to all…then I realise that even by mentioning the term ‘black people’ I am automatically suggesting differences, which shouldn’t be.

I am writing this post today to share with all of you what I have realised today.

If we yearn for change within the way we perceive others, we shouldn’t wait for others to change, but we should work on our own perception on the matter. We cannot keep labelling people as white, black, Christian, Muslim, gay etc…we are all one. We are all one and the same. We all have feelings, and we all have the ultimate goal to make the most out of our lives.

Children are not born racists. It is up to us mothers, fathers, guardians, to teach our children to treat each other in the same way they want themselves to be treated no matter who they are or what they look like.

We shouldn’t just wait for the world to change…we must BE THE CHANGE. It starts with each and every one of us.

As usual my guides gave me a beautiful song to go with the subject I’m blogging about today. While searching for a video of this song I came across a masterpiece.

It was back in January 28th 1985 when over 35 very talented performers got together to create this beautiful masterpiece, without even counting the behind-the-scenes minds that helped in creating it. The result was astounding.

Apart from the wonderful result which you can view in the video I posted below, it shows that when we do get together irrespective of how different we are from each other, we can create something beautiful.

Think about how better the World will be when we all finally join hands and work towards a better life for all. We are all one. Let’s make magic together. Let us all light up our hearts guided by the compassion we all have within us, and reach out to all our brothers and sisters, creating strong bridges, heart to heart.

Much love & light to all xxx

We Are The World – Michael Jackson

There comes a time when we need a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
Oh, and it’s time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can’t go on pretending day by day
That someone, somehow will soon make a change
We’re all a part of God’s great big family
And the truth – you know love is all we need

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
so let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me

Well, send them you your heart
So they know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us
By turning stone to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
so let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me

When you’re down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There’s no way we can fall
Well, well, well, let’s realize
That one change can only come
When we stand together as one

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
so let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
